Sight Direct passes full VAT reduction to customers!
On
the 24th November 2008 it was announced that the VAT rate would be reducing from 17.5% to 15% for 13 months from the 1st December 2008.
How is the change calculated?
Using an item previously sold at £9.99 as an example.
Original price of the product £9.99
Take off the VAT at 17.5% £1.4879
Price excluding VAT £8.5021
Add new VAT at 15% £9.7774
To the nearest penny £9.77
